Attention Medicare Recipients: If your pharmacist is having trouble billing your anti rejection drugs, please have them contact their provider hotline. Please remember that if you had Medicare at the time of the transplant, anti-rejection drugs are still covered under Medicare B, not Medicare D.

The Transplant will be closed on Friday July 11 so our Transplant Staff may attend a retreat. The Clinic will reopen on Monday July 14.

About Transplant at The Ohio State University Medical Center

The Ohio State University Medical Center, central Ohio’s only abdominal organ transplant center.

Each year, more than 300 people receive the gift of life at University Medical Center, the result of a transplanted kidney, kidney-pancreas, or liver. Based on volume, the Medical Center’s kidney transplant program is one of the top in the nation, and its kidney-pancreas transplant program ranks among the largest.

University Medical Center offers an extensive living kidney donor transplant program, which includes the option of laparoscopic kidney donation. With its smaller incision, laparoscopic kidney donation requires a shorter stay in the hospital and a faster recovery.

Outpatient services for pre- and post-transplant patients are provided at a convenient, off-campus location.
